Hello fellow vintage mac heads..

A couple of quick questions...

Anyone out there have an 128k motherboard for the
original macintosh ? I have two 512k's motherboards,
and one nice 512k mac, which will probably make a
parts donor to my original mac, which I bought in
July of 1984....It's been on hiatus, for well over 12 years..

I have a 128k board, that was given to me...but looks like
the extra ram was soldered on...making it a 512k board..has
anyone on this list, every de-soldered one....?????

Also does any one know anything about an upgrade in early 1984,
called monster mac...? which added a second MB type board, to
the mac's..giving the mac the option to connect an scsi HD...

I came across one......

I have a color classic.....presently running a performa 550 MB,
which makes it a classic II, or Performa 275...the 33 mhz speed,
with the 36 MB ram max, is sure nice, compared to the original
pokey 16 mhz, 16 bit data bus of the CC....my question is concerning
the Peforma / LC 575 MB, which is a 68040 , @33 mhz...I slide
it in the CC, (running OS 7.6.1) and add the enabler....when I go to
boot, I get an bus system error...which urges

me to re boot with
extensions off....when I do, I still get an error....when I put back the
550 MB,
boots up just fine,,,,,any input ?

thanks in advance....

Nick
