Well, it works fine from system 6 to mac os 9.1, but mac os x is
giving me nothing but postscript errors. Somebody on the Macnn forum
with a IIg had no problems though... Maybe it has something to do
with the IINT only handling postscript level 1 and the IIg being
postscript level 2 compatible.
But why include driver software for the IINT then in OS X?
Well it wouldn't be the first bug in that OS...
BTW while not in the posession of a board with a ethernet card, I
took home from my office one of the farallon ethermac iprint adapters
(an ethernet to localtalk converter) I had used to hook up the
laserwriter select 360's to the ethernet in the office. It worked
flawlesy and enabled me to connect my iMac not only to see the
Laserwriter IINT, but also my vintage computers. It connected to a
appleshare 3 server on a local talk connected 68030 without any
problems.
Of course this was with the iMac running 9.1. OS X can't see file
servers on a appletalk network as of yet. I'll have to wait for 10.1
for that.
Anyway it is always great to see the old stuff working together with
the new stuff!
