You don't have CPU Energy Saver turned on, do you? I wouldn't think it
would give the improper shutdown message, but it's a thought.
Maybe your office is cycling the power each night. That would do it too.
If you give the power button a quarter turn, you can force a restart every
time the power cuts out, which will keep it up as a DNS server if that's
what you need.
