I agree with you almost completely. I often save posts with good
information, which is why I get mine individually, but it's
frustrating to have the title not reflect what's inside.
OTOH, I'm the person who answered that post under the same title.
There was a reason that I thought important. If the newbie didn't know
how to post, then how would he find the reply if I changed it? In my
experience, the (formerly....) tag isn't helpful because I keep the
Subject field too short to see it.
