The other one is the sensor. It most likely needs
a special mouse pad. Try drawing up some various
grids in a graphics program then print them out in
black and white. You want them in 1bit, pure black and
white. Try a grid of dots too. No idea if that will
work but it's worth a shot. Mouse Systems is (was?)
a company that's incredibly difficult to get any
product info out of. :P
