Mac--IIci with 8MB ram, 250 MB hard drive with about half empty, OS 7.0.1 Modem--Supra external 33.6 Software--free ppp 262, mactcp
Do I have the right software to set this thing up? I read through Low End Mac most of the day and am still unclear, mostly about whether this software will work with this operating system. I also downloaded the 7.5.3 upgrade, but would rather not install that at this point, if I don't have to. Modem seems to work okay (I tested it with a Hypercard dialing program and it does dial out okay.) It sounds like I can connect without Open Transport, but am not sure if MacTCP is enough to do the trick. Thanks in advance.
