Has anyone else tried the combination of the 8*24 card (in a IIci in my
case) with a new LCD display (NEC 1550V)? The NEC supports separate
sync, optimum resolution 1024*768 so it should work with the adapters I
currently use. Until now, I've used a Formac 17" multisync display quite
happily with the 8*24 card and many other Macs and PCs.

The max resolution I can get is Apple 16" emulation, 832*624 but it is
too bright and colours are washed out. 640*480 resolution suffers the
same problems. I have tried this with three different Apple video -->
VGA adapters. However my Mac II hi res 640*480, 256 colour card (in a
Mac II) works very well, as does the built-in video on my LCIII, even
with the Apple IIe emulation card.

I suspect this is a problem with the 8*24 card but I'm interested to
hear what others have tried. Oh well, I wanted a better graphics card
for the IIci anyway...

Phil
