there is no extensions panel... the Netboot disk is stripped bare, the
System and Finder files take up most of the space on a 1.4M disk, with the
Appleshare and EtherTalk extensions, Chooser app and Network control panel
there's scarcely 9K for configuration file growth, let alone Disk Setup or
anything like that.

The 7.5.2 and 7.5.3 "disk tools" disks bring up a Sad Mac-style error,
anything below 7.5 doesn't work with the 540c (it needs 7.1.1, which none of
the earlier, smaller boot up disks have). MacOS 8 disks seem to be too big.
