Ohhhhhh...it took me a while to get why you were discussing ADB KVM
boxes.
'Doah!'
ok, so as long as I have the switch set to the monitor at boot up, it
'sees' the monitor at preflight check time and knows to put out video.
then if I want to boot another machine after i have the first one
running, it doesnt affect the first one when i switch over to the next
machine and boot it, which will also 'see' that it has a monitor and
will boot outputting video also.
so after that point, I can switch viewing the display back and forth,
from machine A to B ,and each will be putting out video, and the monitor
will show the display from either one, as I move the selector back and
forth.?

and you went on to talk about the belkin ADB KVM because it's just as
nuts to have a keyboard and a mouse for every single mac on that
countertop, too....
oy, don't I know it....

and I can stack the IIfx's and stack the IIsi and the LCIII, to no harm
as far as heat buildup or air movement?
