IT IS ALIVE!!!
I just set up my XP Box to serve my USB Printer on my network. PC MacLAN
puts a "fake" laserwriter on the Appletalk, and when it receives a
printer job from my IIci (which is running the standard LW driver with
system 7.1), it saves it as a postscript file. Then "Ghostscript
Director" monitors the folder that PC MacLAN puts it in, and when it
gets a file, it throws it at the GhostScript program, which outputs it
to the printer. Quite a slow, roundabout way, but it works. I have yet
to try it with my Sys6 Mac Classic on Localtalk (which is in turn
connected to the IIci via Localtalk Bridge)
Anyone having trouble setting up something like this on a PC? (if they
have any boxen that are not 'niX)
