I have a Dayna Ethernet card in my SE/30, which also has a DB-9 connector on it. I just assumed that no standard had been firmly established when the card came out (Dayna has long since abandoned it, so I'm guessing late 80s or early 90s maybe). Maybe some of the old-timers can recall. . .
