Ok,
I've been messing about with the external HDD and this is what I did.

Wipe external HDD, install 7.6.1 on it, connect to CC, BUT it only boots so 
I can use it when it is set to SCSI 7. Thats where I have my problem. It 
dosn't see the internal HDD so I can't fix it.
I am going to try to get out and buy an internal SCSI cable with 2 device 
connectors on it to try fixing the HDD with the IIci.
