This was probably the first time I ordered anything from Shreve Systems.
I picked up 25 copies of ClarisWorks at $1 each -- a deal no matter how
you slice it with as many vintage Macs as I have to refurbish. I got a
couple Newton MessagePad 130s at $29 each, along with nice cases for a
couple bucks extra. Definitely bargain, and impressive old technology.

I placed a second order with Shreve today, because my youngest son wanted
his own Newton. Ordered 3 fax/modems for the Newtons as well. At $1 each,
a steal.

For the most part, Shreve's blowout prices are pretty good. But they're
slow -- it took nearly two weeks for my order to arrive. And they charge
through the nose for shipping, adding nearly 50% to the cost of the order.

On the other hand, I sold over $400 worth of LC 630 systems at our garage
sale, and if we have to substract the cost of a few copies of ClarisWorks
and shipping to make a few of those buyers happy, it's still not a bad
deal.
