Jeff: The Question Mark over a disk icon is the Mac's way of saying the hard
disk
is either not spinning, not connected properly, or is/has damage to either
the System Folder or platters/controller card.

>>> I figured that. I do have a spare disk if that one is broken. The person
giving me the machine told me it doesn't boot. Don't know why. The drive is
connected properly and does power up. <<<

Jeff: A boot disk can easily be had from any number of us list members if
you want
to avoid the hassle of using a PC. BUT, your floppy drive needs to work....

>>> How would I go about getting a boot disk from one of you? Can you supply
me with one? I need to be able to boot the machine and figure out whether or
not the hard disk is working. <<<

Regards,
Peet
