What you will use now is a program called the Apple Printer Utility, it lets you rename/reconfigure (if possible) all of the postscript laserwriter printers.

Got one of these from a relative. It weighs a ton and the print quality is not so great, but it does work. Poking through the .pdf manual I find reference to a utility program included on the original disks (of course, I don't have these) called "Namer." Evidently used to change the name of the printer as it shows up on an AppleTalk network. Anyone on this list know where I might obtain a copy of this utility? Searched the Older Software section of Apple with no luck.
