internet on an lc 575

I have an LC 575 and installed an ethernet card in the card slot, so 
now, what do I need to get it to access the internet? does it need to 
have system 8.1, or can i do it with 7.5.5? If I can with 7.5.5, what 
do I need to install to get it to work, and where can i find the files?
