Hi All, Here's what I have: LCIII w/ a Q605 Mobo, 36 MB of RAM. A recent clean install of 7.5.3 w/ Open Transport 1.1.2 and Free PPP. The modem is a 33k Global Village External.
The software in question is Eudora Light 3.1.3 More often than not, Eudora will download a few messages then stall, think for a while and display an error message. The error message text is something along the line of: "Error retrieving mail - I said ge - server returned----------- sorry" (NOT very useful info) Has anyone else ever experienced the same or similar? Do you think I have a hardware or software problem? BTW, my G3 w/ 56k modem (OS 8.1 and basically the same software) has never given me any trouble of this sort. Perhaps I should try the 56k modem on the LCIII/Q605? I've searched the web trying to find a list of Eudora's Error and definition thereof - no luck :-( TIA for any help, Craig -- Vintage Macs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
