That was the first version of the Apple ///. If it
was turned oon and off regularly instead of being
left on, the sockets Apple used would wiggle the
chips loose with thermal expansion and contraction.

The drop height was about an inch or two. The ///
got a bad reputation from that and other heat related
problems and the later revisions couldn't save it.
(Along with Steve Jobs' determination to kill off
every Apple hardware product other than Macintosh.)
