The way this thread is going my $150 seems like an utter extravagance. If
you see the unit you might be impressed. It is a complete lock with highly
chromed knobs on both sides that slid into the door as a stock replacement.
It weighed about two pounds. In three words, vintage airstream quality.
Are we talking the same type of unit?

I put a new lock and deadbolt on my Bambi a couple of years ago. I got both
locks at http://www.camperschoice.com. The lock was a Bargman Motor Home
Double Latch Lock ($35.64) and the deadbolt was a Weiser Deadbolt Lock
($17.85). They were easy to put in, fit fine, and work really well.

Good God! I paid less than $75.00 for a complete lockset from Berning
just a year ago. I'll admit to having to do a bit of work to get it
installed, but at least it wasn't $165.00.
