I have a set of four of those odd hubcaps that were used on all 1966 1200
and 1300 beetles, and on the USA-only 1967 1500-model beetles. They have an
extra mounting flange, and they protrude about 1/2" farther than later ones.
I'm offering to swap:
I need two decent hubcaps for a 70 model.
Of my 66-67 caps, two are in average condition, and two are damaged: curb
scratches and rust "pimples." They look okay at first glance, but
definitely are not show material. I'll gladly send pictures.
I'd propose to swap: my four 66-67 caps for two decent 68-on types. I
would prefer German ones, not the flimsier afternarket reproductions.
Virginity is not a requirement, just average appearance or better. They're
over 40 years old, after all.
