Thanks, Mike,

The 1970 had no rear cover shelf; that came with the Euro 1971 models. But
it's the hinge bolts, spacers, washers, etc., of the seatback that I'm
looking at. No big deal -- I'll experiment.

I'm not familiar with ETKA but I looked at it. They wanted a registration
so I backed away. Loooks like a great source for manuals.

Thanks,

Bert

ETKA shows it, but the descriptions for many of the pieces say 'no longer
available' instead of the details you'd want.
There's no difference from 70 to 71, apparently.
I will keep digging for you, Bert.

  Volks,

Is there a good Web site with an exploded view of the installation of the
rear seats in both the 1970 and the 1971 Type 1?

I have this can of assorted bolts, washers, and panels, and I want to get
it
  right.

  Bert
