Okay, Y'all,
I'm putting a 1972 SuperBeetle back together. Somehow, I've ended up with two rear cover latches. So which is the correct pushbutton latch for the engine hood, a chrome button or a black button? Since it's USA model, neither one has a lock. Ditto for the "crescent" vents behind the rear quarter windows: I have both black and chrome. Which was correct on the 1972? (It's Texas Yellow, if that makes any difference, which it probably doesn't.)
