Hot diggity it still is!
I'm looking for a guy who does stock looking VW engine rebuilds on the west
coast.
His specialty was making them look stock, but they were 2L+ engines with the
34-pict-3 carburetor installed on them. They would run with stump-pulling
torque up to 4K and then no more power.
I realize if I have a real simple setup on my bus, I'd actually drive it.
All this dual carb stuff - I'm just not interested because I've had nothing
but trouble with it. I want to drive it - not tinker behind it all the
time.
