well,
I am also of the opinion that companies are obligated to provide a quality 
product for the price offered. after all, we are their bread and butter. also, 
the blind are a non-trivial market and we do have some say in how products need 
to be made. otherwise, we will vote with our wallets and go to the competition. 
Now, apple realizes this and they are more than happy to make most (if not all) 
of their products as accessible as possible. after all, a significant portion 
of iphone users are blind (or otherwise print impaired). If apple didn't care, 
we would have gone to droid (which can be made accessible if the carriers would 
just quit breaking the feature with their stupid interface designs). 

and yes, if companies want the business of us and our friends and families 
(that is a lot more than 25 million), they need to wake up and smell the 
coffee. so, yeah, they are under obligation. if they don't want our money, I am 
sure someone else will.
