Hi Esther;

I am using the Apple Bluetooth keyboard.

I noticed that if I use it for a long period of time, the curser goes crazy
until you type a character.

It happens particularly with the Facebook app and, text messaging apps.

I've been trying to duplicate the problem but, I can't.

It happens at random.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Anthony

Hi Ioana and Marco,

I've noticed this, but as Marco said, it doesn't happen every time. And I
noticed with the last iOS version that occasionally when I switched
language keyboards with a paired Apple Wireless or other Bluetooth
keyboard, the selected keyboard language could get off by one (I'd move to
another keyboard with the Command-Space command and switch languages, but
VoiceOver's announcement of the keyboard language might lag -- this was on
an iPad). I did notice that on the iPad with touch screen an announcement
came up for keyboard switching with the new upadate: "Alternate Keyboards:
Tap the glove key once to switch to the last used keyboard. Continue
tapping to access other enabled keyboards. Tap and hold to show all
enabled keyboards." This feature is new. If you double tap and hold on
the "switch to…" button to the right of the more numbers key for switching
to other keyboards, you can move your finger up to the menu list of
available keyboards and select your input language keyboard that way. Just
remember that VoiceOver's announcement can lag the speed at which you move
through the menu by touch, if you have several languages in your list. I
wonder whether this bug is a side effect of the announcements sometimes
lagging the changes made by gestures.

HTH. Cheers,

Esther

I’ve noticed this too but it doesn’t happen every time. Whenever I am
activating the Italian keyboard, I find that I have to tap on the more
numbers key and then touch a number key to get the Italian to speak and
then I can switch back to the letters and my letters are spoken in Italian.

HI all,

I have 4 different keyboard layouts on the iPhone and since last update
found that vo does not speak letters on onscreen keyboard in selected
language. So for ex, if I had English us on and then change to German I
touch a letter and it is still spoken with English voice.

Have written to apple but was curious if anyone has noticed something
similar. IF so please notify apple also about this so that they might fix
this.

Best,
