Hi Nicki,

Try holding down the Power and Home buttons together for about 10 seconds. This 
should prompt a reset. It may take a couple of minutes for the iPHone to come 
on afterward. If someone sighted is around, ask them to watch when you do this 
and see if an Apple logo appears. If it does, release the buttons once it 
appears.
