Right, I guess it was Dave who said the iPad 2 didn’t have a back facing
camera.
I still haven’t tried scanning anything. It’s quite awkward to hold compared
to the nice little phone

Yes, but I said that the iPad, meaning the original iPad doesn't have a camera.
However, I'm interested in how well it works.
So far, I have not really had any success with my iPhone 4S.

I prefer Prizmo. It has a very steep learning curve, but if you make it
through the learning, Prizmo works quite well. OCR works on an iPhone 4 or
higher and the latest iPad. Nothing else has a good enough camera. The iPad
would probably be more difficult because of its size. This is merely
