Hello Syed, John must not have read your messages hence does not realize you are in India. Any phone sold by a major carrier such as AT&T or Verizon will not be unlocked, especially not if it is $99. Also any Verizon iPhone before the 4S which has both CDMA and GSM radios will only work on a CDMA network which means the phone does not work with a SIM card and doesn't even have a SIM card slot. I may be wrong, but as far as I know pretty much all of Asia works on GSM networks. If you are looking for an unlocked iPhone of any kind, you are most likely to find it on eBay and if it is in good condition and working order, it will still be relatively expensive. I believe the price for a brandnew unlocked iPhone 3GS 8 Gb from Apple directly here in Canada is $375 and an iPhone 4 which now only comes in 8 Gb as well is $500. A brandnew and unlocked 4S is $650 for the 16 Gb, $750 for the 32 Gb and $850 for the 64 Gb.
