Would be a pity if the speaker on the device was starting to go.  If it's 
only the device you plugged in, then that speaker or the connection is at 
fault.   Even the lead maybe.  But if the device alone is doing this now,  I 
think you have a real problem.

The problem with my iPod touch five is that for some reason when I plug it 
in and unplug it again from that cable I get static and the speech is 
distorted I turned it on and off several times and completely powered it 
down but the distortion is still there any suggestions would be welcome
