Speaking of books that come with a braille display, I've got to mention that the user's manual for my Bluetooth 40 from FS has got to be the poorest quality I've ever seen! I don't know what was used to produce it, but the letters are run together, almost like a dot was used in both of two letters that are side by side, like the braille cells were squeezed together so that it looks like there are 3 columns of dots in a single cell. For example, picture an I N G with an L to it's right. It almost looks like a number sign. It is almost to the point of being unreadable.

Thank you, I finally found the commands in the iPhone book I have, I just have to get used to using them, as a typist for years, I read braille well but sometimes have to really think about writing it. I will get there, however. Hi, You can either use dot 7 or a D chord. Both of these actors are backspace. Cheers, Brett. So far, I managed to get it connected to the phone, other things are coming slowly, finding trying to write either nothing shows up or it is full of errors and cannot find backspace command but then it just arrived yesterday and I have not had much time to play. The braille cells are great and it plugs in, the Refresh-A-Brail plug drove me crazy and the lack of thumb keys drove me crazy, I’d sell it but no way to ship right now. No, not the Focus, that one is MINE! I will get it figured out. Thank you so much Charles and Gina! That did the trick. I need to make sure my screen is locked, turn on my BP12T, unlock my screen, and it pairs pretty much immediately. I reverse the steps to unpair/power off my BP12T, and, when I do that, it doesn’t dump me into help when I unlock my screen again. This helps a ton! If anyone knows the answer re the Notes app, and if there is any way I can stop the BraillePen from showing me HTML code in my notes, which don’t have links by the way. They’re just notes like, “Pick up milk on the way home.” (Well, not exactly, but there’s no bold print, or anything else fancy. I have two more questions. First, does anyone know of a braille command to lock/unlock your iDevice with a braille keyboard? I fully understand that this may not be at all possible, but I was thinking of a situation where I might have my BraillePen out, but my iPhone in my purse. It would be great if I could use a keyboard command to lock/unlock the iDevice in such a situation. Also, is there some way to leave the VoiceOver hints turned on as far as speaking them is concerned, but to set it so that the hints are not displayed on the braille display, even if VO speaks the hints aloud? Thanks again everyone! I’m really grateful for all the help, and I’m having a blast learning something new. *GRIN* Amy -- The following information is important for all members of the viphone list.
