Hello David and Others, You don't need to put in an exact street address for HopStop -- a street intersection will work like "University Ave. & 4 St." I've also entered the name of a shopping center as a destination and had this recognized. Also, since you can choose addresses from your contacts for the start and stop points of your trip, you could always search for a destination in AroundMe, Where To?, the yellow pages app, etc. and add the result address to your contacts for navigation purposes. And "current location" is, of course, one of the options for the starting point, so you don't need to type in your address here. You can also use it to check routes for travel at a different time, if you want to find out about return trip options and connections.
There are a lot of place specific transit apps. For example, many U.S. cities (not mine), have NextBus. And there are different accessible transit apps for the UK and Europe. (For the record, HopStop does include cities like London, Paris, etc., and as far as I could check it appears to work for these routes. You have to spell out some names to avoid confusion, like "Blvd Saint Michel" and not use the abbreviation of "St." for "Saint" which could be confused with the abbreviation for "Street", if this makes sense.)
