I haven't done what I'm about to advise here, but I do understand that since
I suspect you have all of your devices using the same account the assumption
is made that you'll want access to all of that account's data. You may
consider creating an alternative DropBox account for your iPhone so that it
will appear to the DropBox management software as if different users are
involved. The problem with this approach though is that, if you want your
iPhone to have access to any of the sub-folders, you'll need to send an
invitation to your iPhone account e-mail authorizing said access.

suppress folders that are visible on the pc side but you don't want some of
