I would do it the following way: 1. Open the text message and make sure vo is focussed on the content. 2. If the number is formatted right it should be a link. You can navigate to it by selecting links from the rotor menu. Note that the links option does not appear in the rotor unless you have a link in your text message and the focus is on it.
3. Flick down and you should land on the phone number. 5. Double-tap and hold on it and you should get a menu with one of the options being "add to contacts". Here you should be fine either to create a new one or add to an existing one. If the phone number is not a link it is a bit more tricky. Nothing like the good old memory to remember it and mark it down manually in your contacts.
