John, I am sory I was giving old price information. When their representative came to our agency early last Fall, the price she gave for the 40 was 3395. So, I'm not sure it is worth 1000 more than the braille edge. That would be a hard choice. Is 32 GB of internal memory, the ability to connect to 4 bluetooth devices and the pdf and excell viewer worth that much? I don't know. At work, I have a Braille Edge and really like it. I think if I were looking to get one for myself, I would settle for the 20 cell Vario Ultra for the portability. I hope you can feel good about which ever one you choose. Baum products are extremely well made, so maybe the 40 is worth that much more. Good luck, Richard
