FYI, after installing this version of iTunes referred to in the KB article, the
iTunes store became usable again.

Subject: Fw: [BlindTech] iTunes 12.1 Possible Solution?

After writing my previous message and tweeting it to nearly
500 followers, someone replied that there's a fix at
http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1784 - So I went there. The fix is for
users on 64-bit systems with older video cards unable to handle some
aspect of video playback. Somehow I don't think it has anything to do
with the fact that accessibility hooks have been removed from the
program.
