Unfortunately, the only way to fix the playback issue is for NLS to put an update out for the BARD Mobile app. However reporting the issues to NLS and/or your regional library always helps. As for notifications, I will listen to the notification while the book is playing. Since I use the Alex voice there is enough of a difference for me to understand the notification/message. Once Alex is done, I will stop the BARD book and then rewind 20 seconds to go back and hear what I missed, or more for longer notifications.
