I had the same problem with my iPhone 5 32 gig. I would charge up all night and then turn it off and turn it right back on it was dead as a door nail. Come to find out however, it was the battery after two years the battery went dead. I would say go, and have your battery tested at an Apple store, or a dealer that deals with the Apple iPhone. It might just be simple that your battery needs to be replaced with a brand-new one.
Since I've had the battery replaced, it now takes all day and part of the evening until about 11 or 12, or even one or 2 o'clock in the morning for the battery to run down all the way. So just check your battery if it's under the planter a warranty and it's just the battery they can replace it free if something else is causing the battery to drain, You might be charged a nominal fee, but in any event, it's good to get it done.
