Once you install the app, then launch it, I found the first few screen were not helpful unless I toggled VoiceOver on and off, then the text refreshed for the introductory material. Once you get to the page 3 of 3 that has a button on it for finding out how to get started, I don't recall exactly what it said but it is the only button, double tap that and it will tell you that you have to go into settings, general, keyboard and double tap on add keyboard and then pick Shortcut Keyboard and double tap. Then, there is a "allow full access" which is off that you need to turn on. He says he won't upload anything you type, though there is a warning about that. Once you enable full access, then go back to the app and launch it again. There will be a couple sample phrases and an add button. Once you add a phrase you want to just be able to select later, there is a save button. Then, when writing an Email, or anywhere else, just go to the bottom of the screen to the left of the spacebar and find the "next keyboard button." Double tap that until the name Shortcut Keyboard shows up. Then, above the onscreen keyboard will be all the phrases you have saved in the app and you just double tap the one you want to insert at that point.
