Alan, you raise a good point. I don’t want to belabor it, but back in the day,
computer software, even when accessible, had many many bumps in the road. We
have grown accustom to having everything work right out of the box. There are
two sides to this.

Why shouldn’t it. It works for other people, although if you read about some of
the latest Apple iOS releases, it effected people who see just as much as
people who are blind. And thus, the other side of the coin.

Not everything works perfectly for every person. If you consider the number of
apps native to the iPhone and those by third parties, it is quite amazing that
as many of work as do. I know, there are people who say that all things should
work all the time and right out of the box. But I will tell you, as someone who
has developed iPhone apps, you test it as best you can by a number of people
and as soon as you give it to that one last person, they will find something
that doesn’t work. As Alan said, it is complicated and there are many things
that can be tried, and if you took the time to try everything you can do on the
iPhone, for example, in every imaginable situation, it would take you and all
your friends a very long time and you may not find them all.

So, while sometimes I may complain about things not working, I also understand
the many steps developers go through to try as best they can to make things
work.

Neal,

I hear you. I've just about decided to expect the unexpected with these
devices. They are so much more complex than the computers we've used for years
and we all know what kind of surprises those have brought.

Alan, I didn’t get it with the 6, but I did with the 5. I had never gotten
that message before and I must say that it was a bit scary, but I knew I was
backing up my secondary iPhone so I didn’t worry all hat much. A re-boot
definitely fixed the problem.

Neal,

I got this same hiccup too when I updated using iTunes for Windows 11.4.x.
However, when I unplugged my lightning cable and reconnected it, iTunes then
saw my updated iPhone 6.

Hi, I had one little hiccup when updating. When my phone rebooted I was told
that iTunes could not connect to this phone. I disconnected and re-connected
the phone a few times, opened and closed iTunes with no success. I rebooted my
computer and all worked well. This is evidently an anomaly, in that I have not
heard of this happening to others. And, it now works. So, just a minor thing.

I have found concerning braille screen input, the same issues that I previously
found in Safari. Braille sgreen input works on the address field in Safari, but
not in other form fields One example would be on the national Library service
website in the search the catalog page The website is WWW dot LOC.GOV/MLS
