Did you double tap the edit button first? If I remember right and often
times I don't, I believe I had to double tap the edit button and then delete
it.

Did you let it download on another device? I downloaded it on my iPhone
and
it appeared on my iPad. I couldn't delete it on my iPad but when I
deleted
it on my iPhone and then tried deleting it on my iPad, it then deleted it
fine.
