Hi,
I took some online courses through my community college, and for the most part, they were accessible. The most common software used in college courses is Blackboard and Moodle. Both are platforms built into websites where assignments, discussions, tests, and quizzes can be posted by the professor and taken by the students. The only problem I have come across is the use of flash for some things, but I find this problem is only present when dealing with textbook and lab sites, such as Pearson products or things like My Math Lab or My Economics Lab, etc. so it is not much of a problem with Blackboard or Moodle itself. Blackboard and Moodle are both free and are generally provided on the college's website. I am not sure about totally online colleges, but this was the case for the two community colleges and one university I attended, which were all public colleges.
Hope this helps,
Misty

Subject: Online Colegge degrees

Hi all:
Has anyone ever taken online college classes, or received an online college degree? If so, what software is sued? Is the software accessible with iOS, Jaws, and Voiceover? Is it expensive? If this needs to be taken off list, my email address is sarai.bucciare...@gmail.com
Thanks!
