The first app that comes to mind is Voice Dream Writer. It has its own search 
button, which works well but isn't quite as slick as the search feature on a 
notetaker. Still, you can edit as you read, and there are other features in 
there you may find useful. I haven't tried this app with a braille display, 
though; someone else can say whether it works as well as I'm thinking it would.
