It is a technique. Flick to the first report you have after the "New"
button. Now start near the top of your screen, but not the Status bar.
Draw 2 fingers a little way down then just use one to go the rest of the
way. Sometimes I find it better not to keep the finger absolutely straight
but to go round a little as I work downwards.

DFocus on the first Status you have and draw your finger
down to the bottom
of the screen.
Sometimes you have to try it a few times to get the
technique right but then
you should hear Updating Status.
