Sorry, couldn't make anything of this. But if you leave the UK for Europe, then they use Euros, so worth getting a few sample Euro notes and coins off a bank (at a price) or the post office (for just the exchange rate) and check them out directly before you go. I usually only buy $$s off my local post office, then put them in a parcel and post them back to the US. I can't check those in any way at all.
