To your second question, there used to be--and I think still is--a group. Email:
hims-notetakers+subscr...@googlegroups.com

To your first, there's a lot on www.applevis.com about using iOS with braille
displays. The Terminal application on your Sense is what will let the notetaker
act like a braille display for your phone, so turn on bluetooth and then go
into the terminal. On your phone, go to Settings, general, accessibility,
VoiceOver, braille. Give it a minute to find the Sense, then double tap the
Sense in the displays list. It may pair automatically, or it might come up with
a pairing code request. If the latter, I don't know what the code for Hims
products is, but try 1111 or 0000. The "Pair" button is in the upper right
corner, and you'll have to find it fast; in older versions of iOS, you had
about ten seconds to type the code on the on-screen keyboard and hit the
button, though iOS8 may have changed that.

I realize this isn't very detailed, and I apologize for that. I don't use a
braille display anymore, and when I did, it was a Humanware Apex. Still,
AppleVis does have a lot on the topic, and I imagine others on this list will
also be able to help more if the general steps above don't work.
