Have you checked into Freedom Pop? A coworker got their home wifi device, and has really liked it since it is a lot less than the cable rip-off companies. It isn't as fast, but it works well and I think she pays less than $30 a month. It basically uses the cell network, but provides a wifi hotspot. Their site is less than screen reader friendly, but might be worth looking into. Then an iPod would work. Richard
