I certainly have to close some of mine quite often to keep things clear enough when using a 4S.

Well I did turn the phone off then on again.
So far it isn't shutting down apps, but I've only tried one.
Maybe that was all that was needed, I hope.
Thanks for everyone's help.  I never turn my phone off, it's lawyas on
charge.
I just don't do it and I don't know why.
I guess I don't like it takes a while to come on again.
