Hello All, For the last few years we have had a policy where new members to the list are moderated. Raul has seen to managing this so that members are able to post soon after they join this list. This takes a lot of work to maintain and Raul has done a stellar job with all that he has done for VIPhone.
Since Raul has had other responsibilities of late, I will be the sole list moderator in addition to continuing as list owner. >From now on, the posting privileges of new members will no longer be moderated. Requests to join this list will be vetted as they always are, so spammers and bots etc will continue to be screened in this way to keep this list the high quality informational resource that it is. be aware though, since I am now temporarily the sole list moderator, when you communicate with me concerning list business, it will take me several days to get back with you. Plan on one week. I will of course, try to return your notes earlier than this but do plan on a week from the time you write me to receive a response. This does not mean that any list actions will always be delayed. If I can manage something quickly for you, I will absolutely do that but you may not hear back from me right away. My apologies in advance for this, but this is life right now and this will have to do for the moment. I sincerely appreciate your understanding in this. :) Now, as mentioned above, in regard to new members having been placed on moderated status, there have been a number of people who have written me of late to say they have had trouble posting. Please bear in mind that this occasionally can be a Google issue. However, having said this, let me offer my sincere and deepest apologies to anyone over the past months who has encountered (or is encountering) issues posting to the group. Please, even if you have already emailed me recently about difficulties in posting, may I impose on you one last time and ask that you email me one more time, as soon as you can so I can address all of these issues beginning this week? Also, to those of you who would be possibly interested in assisting with list moderation, feel free to write me at your convenience. As you all know, this is a voluminous list with very high traffic. So certain list tasks are more time-consuming than others. If you would like to help out, and you have a good understanding of this list over a few months / years, then please, by all means, feel free to drop me a note. Otherwise, let me just thank you for reading this and for offering your time and assistance to each other on this list. You are what makes this list the wonderful resource that it is!
