I think it uses wifi, as most of my usage has shifted from cellular minutes to wifi minutes. I have some cell coverage, just that it can be quite directional inside.

That's not what I heard from the person at Verizon I talked with yesterday. It was his contention that if you had a wireless signal, you would be using wireless and not cellular. But who knows, Verizon does not even have this up and running yet,. I also wonder if both parties have to be using wireless before it works? Questions, and very few answers.

As I understand it, if you have cellular coverage then that will be used even if you have a wifi connection.

I have Sprint, but I haven't noticed anything. Anyone who has Sprint,
email me and we can check it out together.

It's probably about the same as it would be with good signal. Phone calls
pretty much are what they are unless you had another Sprint person
using it,
and then it might go HD. I discovered they made the error messages sound
really good if you dial the wrong thing, but that's about the only higher
quality thing I heard.

Unfortunately, I don't notice any difference in the quality of a call
indoors yet via Sprint . Terry

here in the UK from my Cell provider for about two months, as far as I
know, I haven't used it yet, but it seems to me, it can't be anything
but a good thing.

The Sprint version works pretty good most of the time. I'm in one of
those buildings where the regular cell signal just isn't so good

have enabled this. I think Verizon and AT&T are working on it yet. I
think the minutes are unlimited, but I don't think Sprint offers
anything but unlimited on calls these days.

It isn't available until the release of iOS 9 for AT&T. It is showing
up for some, not all, in the current beta of iOs 9.

Hello All,

Earlier today, I enabled the WiFi calling option for two of my Sprint
Wireless friends who were experiencing poor cell signal quality in
certain
locations from within their homes, such as the garage. Now, they have
excellent call quality from anywhere on their property.

I can't seem to find this feature on my A T & T Wireless phone.

Does anyone know if A T & T or any other major wireless provider in
the US
is offering this ability other than Sprint?

It's funny, the only place my two friends couldn't get good cell
quality was
when they were at home. Now they are deliriously happy with both me
and
their iPhones 6 Pluses (smile).
