the next time I run it way down and fully charge it, I'll try to keep beter track. In fact, maybe I will do what I did when I got my 5th gen a few years ago. I'll set it to shuffle and lock it and let it run and see what happens. I have almost 4 days worth of music, so that won't be a problem. Richard
